It’s a new show season, and that always brings a lot of questions from parents and riders about what to expect at the horse show. Some of these include how are the shows run? What do they cost? What to bring, etc? It can be an especially stressful time for riders who are new to showing.
To help in answering these questions and concerns, two experienced equestrians from the Central Texas Hunter Jumper Association (CTHJA) have put together Horse Show Primers – one geared toward what to expect at a one-day show, and one that covers multi-day shows. These primers cover all the bases and are very informative. Along with answering common questions, they provide a checklist of what to bring to the horse show.
Take a look at the attached documents, and good luck in the show ring!
